"I am a musician by profession, that's my whole life, and I didn't want to waste it in easy retirement"
Unfortunatelly this is NOT the whole Cyberbarn concert. These are excerpts from the concert (from 24 September 1998) and some interviews with Roger, taken in his home garden, in Surrey (which he no longer owns, as it was publically stated a year or so ago). For real fans, because if someone just wants to see Roger play and sing live, this is not a good choice. There hasn't been any Roger solo video yet. This was issued on VHS back in 1999.
This video is a bit like "Foreign Sand"'s single cover. Has some Rog in it, has some Yoshiki in it, and from what I remember there is that white bird on blue sky... Directed by Jeff Richter.
Uncomplicated video where Rog sits and sings and there are those "Happiness?" colour clouds everywhere... but really nice anyway... beautiful clouds, and Rog A.D. 1994 also looks pretty nice :) Directed by Rudi Dolezal & Hannes Rossacher.
This video uses so called 'banned' version of the song. Banned means it was banned in the UK because of its hard words. But after all the video and song was banned because of nazi collocations. Strange, as for me this seems anty nazi, but no-one knows. The song came to life after Roger watched a programme about what all that did to the Jews and he wanted to protest in some way (typical Rog I think). The video is severe and it has fragments of Hitler's speaches shown, sth of that nazi shown and it also has Roger with just two big drums hitting them to the rhythm of the song (this is full colour unlike the old fragments of course). Highly recommended (that prolonged nose of Hitler...). Directed by David Mallet.
A single of this song has a cover, which is just taken from the video. Or at least it looks like that (the same concept). Rog in that funny haircut of his, short hair on the sides and longer at the top. He sings the song like he was in a white room or sth. Some lights are there also. He runs around the place and when he sings "sometimes I feel like a man on fire, sometimes I feel like a man possessed, sometimes I wanna burn down this crazy town" he ruins some barrels which are there, he gets weird and so on... nice :) Directed by Pope.
Starts with water sounds and scuba diving... then it is a standard version of the song used there, not the extended one. Rog drives Porche, with some girl, unfortunatelly I don't know her name, he stands somewhere in the mountains... pretty nice video, more interesting than "Man On Fire" I guess, but not everyone likes that 'charming' looklike of Rog's. Directed by Bloom.
Completely easy video, just Roger's face shown singing. But for devoted fans, pretty nice.
Real 90's style video, kept in colours of black, red and yellow. We see the band playing, Rog in his A.D. 1991 black sunglassess. Beside the band is a woman, not in her birthday suit but nearly. Also a man and a child, painted like sculptures. Is she a sign of new dark ages? Directed by Paul Voss.
This is a TV take of the song, mimed. It is understood to be on Belgium TV. Have to check that one. It is mimed to edit version of "New Dark Ages" and has cheering at the end.
18th century France style video shows the band play (probably a weird concert) and the party upon the place. A party of love power, love everywhere, intimate love.
Taken during the Nuernburg concert on 4th June 1990. On this night they played the song twice, just to record it properly. The video runs a bit slower than the original performance. I think we can see which part is from which take by looking on Roger's glasses - once he has them, a second later he doesn't. And then again.Directed by Geoff Schultze.
I've been lately told there is also a video of this song but I never saw that. Recorded at Ku Club, Ibiza.
B&W video starts with opening title for "Cowboys & Indians". Then we have Clayton Moss 'singing' the verse of Rog. Then there is a saal in which we have the band playing, a big screen, and three girls singing backing vocals. The one shown is Debbie Leng. Young Taylor especially expressive in this one. One the telebeam we see what Rog sings about, that is James Brown, Elvis the King of R'n'R, Marilyn Monroe... Directed by Ralph Ziman.
LONDON, ENGLAND 1988. Party. The Cross among other people. People dancing to the sound of Shove It! Cute Roger in jeans. Girls with big tits in Shove It T-shirts. Directed by VDO Productions.
Roger lying on his deckchair somewhere in the sun, singing lead vocals (the version with Roger on full vocals is used here). As the background is some people's story. Directed by Dieble/ Myers.
Video is parts of recording the charity single. We see all musicians, sometimes alone, sometimes together. Typical photomontage, two or more frames at one time. Colour. There is also a 'making of' video.
This 1991 charity single is nothing special. Roger plays drums there, but we have to wait a while to see him. And we see him twice or so and just very shortly, behind his kit. There is more of Brian there. But one thing looks great: Rog and Cozy Powell play together :)
