Exclusive News From The Queen Fan Club Convention

During his question and answer session at the Queen Fan Club Convention, The brilliant Greg Brooks, Queen's official Archivist confirmed the green light has been given for a 10 CD box set of ALL of Queen's Worldwide single release's, the set will include every single released by the band plus every B-Side, Remix, Exteneded Version etc and will be released this year at Christmas.

"Band du Lac: One Night Only" Coming To DVD In June

Gary Brooker's "Band Du Lac" performed at Wintershall Estate in Surrey on 11 June 2005, in aid of H.A.S.T.E. (Heart And Stroke Trust Endeavour). Appearing on stage were Gary Brooker, Eric Clapton, Andy Fairweather-Low, Mike Rutherford, Paul Carrack and Henry Spinetti. Other special guests were Katie Melua, Roger Taylor, Ringo Starr, Chris Barber and The Drifters. The performance will be released on DVD by Eagle Rock Entertainment on 13 June 2006 in North America and in the UK on 5 June. (Release information for the rest of the world is not available at this time.)

Queen to be saluted with several other bands on television in VH1's Rock Honors! An ode to the greatest musical groups who deeply influenced the flavour of rock music...

(Article found on VH1.com) VH1 debuts the first ever show to pay homage to the legends who influenced the sound of hard rock with the first annual “VH1 Rock Honors.” Hosted by Jaime Pressly of the hit sitcom "My Name Is Earl," this year’s celebration will honor the music and influence of KISS, Queen, Def Leppard and Judas Priest.

Premiering on Wednesday, May 31 at 9PM ET/PT, “VH1 Rock Honors,” will be taped at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas on Thursday, May 25 and will include tribute performances by Foo Fighters and The All-American Rejects. Additional performers, presenters, and special guests will be announced as they are confirmed.

The 2 - hour tribute will salute the groundbreaking bands of rock, the once in a lifetime events and the influential people who made a lasting mark on the history of hard rock. The influence of these honorees will be felt through spoken tributes, filmed packages and performances by some of today’s hottest rock acts as well as the legends themselves.

Queen came to Japan for a tour, a first time in 20 years which all the fans have dreamt for. The DVD captures the miracle moments and rare previously unseen interviews!

Queen Japan Tour which kicked off on October 26th going around Saitama Arena, Nagoya Dome, Fukuoka Yahoo Dome was the first tour in Japan in 20 years and drew audience totalling 100,000 people. Not showing any hint of their long absence, their powerful live performance has moved many Japanese audience and already being told as "legendary live shows". The DVD covers the entire show of the 2nd night in Saitama Arena on October 27th. After doing over 30 shows in Europe from March, 2005, Queen and vocalist Paul Rodgers has evolved furthermore in Japan proving themselves as being "King Of Rock", "Best Performer In The World" putting on a magnificent 2 hour show. They have also played 2 songs especially for the fans in Japan. A song written for Japanese fans "Teo Toriatte" and a smash hit in Japan "I Was Born To Love You".

Many fans had shed tears listening to the gentle voice of Brian and Roger. The DVD also contains a bonus disc which features never been seen interview and backstage footages. The DVD will be released for the first time in Japan prior to any other countries.
